The Sony Cybershot DSC WX7 is a compact digital camera with a wide range of features. Although a number of these features are available on other Sony digital cameras they are hard to find with other brands. Taking into account the Cybershot DSC WX7 is less than 20mm wide and will fit easily into a pocket the features on offer are very impressive.
To start with the Cybershot DSC WX7 has 3D capabilities. It can produce 3D still images as well as 3D panoramas. To fully appreciate the 3D effect the photos need to be played back on a 3D television.
Other impressive features revolve around the high speed sensor that Sony have added to the Cybershot DSC WX7. This allows for fast burst rates. You can capture up to 10 photos per second. This also allows for some fine tuning of high contrast photos. With the camera being able to fire off a fast burst of photos the camera is able to combine a set of photos to show more detail in the brightest and darkest areas of a photo. A similar technique is used to minimise noise in lowlight situations.
More standard features include a wide angle lens and image stabilisation. The Cybershot DSC WX7 is able to produce top quality High Definition movies. The maximum movie resolution is 1080i. This compares favourably to the majority of digital cameras where the resolution is more likely to be 720p.
