The Sony Cybershot DSC WX10 is an advanced compact camera. It measures less than 17mm wide but includes a 7x wide angle lens. In fact Sony have pushed a number of boundaries with the Cybershot DSC WX10.
To start with they have crammed 16 megapixels onto the sensor. Next up they have included some 3D functionality. This allows you to shoot 3D stills and panoramas with the camera. These can be played back on 3D televisions.
The Cybershot DSC WX10 is one of the fastest digital cameras around. It is capable of taking pictures at a top speed of 10 frames per second. The ability to operate at high speed is down to the sensor Sony have used. Two further advantages of the high speed sensor are improved level of detail in the darkest and lightest areas of shots with a lot of contrast and minimised noise levels when shooting in lowlight conditions.
The movie mode is advanced as well. You are able to shoot High Definition movies with a maximum resolution of 1080i. This compares well against the more standard High Definition of 720p.
More standard features include image stabilisation and a 2.8 inch LCD screen. There is also a feature that lets you defocus backgrounds in the way a professional photographer might with portraits and wildlife.
