The Sony DSC W270 has some more advanced features. These include a High Definition movie mode. So if you look to your digital camera to take short movie clips then this is likely to be an attraction.

Sony has incorporated a 5x wide angle lens on the DSC W270. This gives you a little extra lens power when compared to more basic models. The wide angle effect is advantageous if you are planning to take landscape style shots or groups of people. Sony has built image stabilisation into the camera to help negate any problems caused by unsteady hands and camera shake.

The DSC W270 includes features that are now considered the norm such as face detection and a 2.7 inch LCD screen. The camera is 22.6mm wide and should fit most pockets. You have a choice of four colours with the camera being available in black, silver, red and gold. You can add extra capacity to the lens by buying a conversion lens.
