Sony DSC W150

The Sony DSC W150 is an 8 megapixel digital camera with a 5x optical zoom lens. Sony has equipped the DSC W150 with a feature called intelligent scene recognition. This means that the camera attempts to recognise the type of scene you are about to snap and makes a number of more subtle adjustments to ensure the best possible results.

Another feature Sony has added is a Dynamic Range Optimiser. When you turn this on the DSC W130 adjusts exposure levels and contrast in the lightest and darkest areas of the scene. This can help to increase the amount of detail showing in these areas.

For a camera in this price bracket there is a good sized 2.7 inch LCD screen. There is also a viewfinder available as an alternative method of composing photos.

Sony has also included image stabilisation. This can help to compensate for shaky hands and produce sharper images.
