The Sony Cybershot DSC S2000 is the most basic digital camera added to the Sony line up for Spring 2010. It has 10 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom lens. The main attractions are ease of use as well as a lower price tag.
Looking at the design of the Cybershot DSC S2000 there is a raised area on the front that helps you to take a good grip of the camera to hold it steady. Taking a good grip can help to reduce any blur caused by camera shake. On the back of the camera you will find a 2.5 inch LCD screen. This is a little smaller than the current norm of 2.7 inch screens. When it comes to colour you can select from either a black version or a silver one. At 27mm wide the Cybershot DSC S2000 will fit into a good sized pocket, but it not really a camera for slipping into a shirt pocket or a pocket of a pair of jeans.
Power is supplied by a couple of AA batteries. Sony has also started to offer a choice when it comes to how images are stored. The Cybershot DSC S2000 can use either SD / SDHC memory cards or Memory Stick Duo cards.
