The Sony Cybershot DSC HX1 is an advanced digital camera with a 20x optical zoom lens. It has a CMOS sensor. This is a different type of sensor to the common CCD type that you find on the vast majority of compact digital cameras. The CMOS type is more commonly found on Digital SLRs. The advantage of the CMOS sensor is that it helps to reduce noise and also allows for faster capture of shots.
