Overview
The Sony A900 is the top of the range Sony Digital SLR. It is aimed at professional photographers.
Among its most impressive features are a 24.6 megapixel, full frame sensor.
For high speed shooting there is burst mode that can take shots at a speed of 5 frames per second.
Image stabilisation has been built into the camera body. This means that you do not need to buy lenses with image stabilisation. As well as image stabilisation there is also a built in anti dust system. This helps to keep your sensor free of dust when changing lenses.
The body of the A900 is made from magnesium, while the chassis is made from an aluminium alloy. The camera is sealed to protect it against moisture.
The A900 is compatible with Sony A mount lenses and Konica Minolta A mount lenses.
For capturing images the camera accepts CompactFlash and Microdrives as well as Sony Memory Stick⢠Duo / MS Pro Duo and MS-PRO HG Duo.
