The Samsung S1070 is a straightforward, point and shoot digital camera. It has 10 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom lens. Most of the features the camera has are typical of this type of camera. There are some bonuses though like the larger than standard 2.7 inch LCD screen.
10 seconds of voice commentary can be added to still images. Alternatively the S1070 can be used as a voice recorder and up to 10 hours of sound can be recorded.
If you would like to be in on the photo then there is a self portrait mode. The camera beeps when you are in position, so that you know when to take the shot.
Samsung have added help text for many of the functions you are likely to use. There is also a photo help guide built into the S1070 to give tips on general photography.
The S1070 runs on standard AA batteries.
