The Samsung L310W has 13.6 megapixels packed into its sensor. It has a 3.6x wide angle lens. Other standard features include a 2.7 inch LCD screen, the ability to shoot widescreen movies and image stabilisation. The L310W is small enough to slip into a pocket.

The camera also has a built in guide. This helps you to understand how the camera works and to take better shots. There is a recycle bin. By sending photos you do not want to a recycle bin gives you some added protection in case you delete a photo accidentally.

There are some extra features built into the L310W. These include blink detection, smile shot and beauty shot. Blink detection fires off a second shot if it detects someone in the photo was blinking. Smile shot automatically takes a photo when someone smiles. Beauty shot enhances portrait photos by removing blemishes.

In addition to these features is a motion timer. This works in a similar way to a self timer, but instead of setting a time delay the L310W takes the photo when it decides everything and everybody is in place.
