The Samsung IT100 is a pocket sized, point and shoot digital camera. Compared with other pocket cameras Samsung has added in a few more advanced features with the IT100.
You get plenty of megapixels. The 12 megapixels that have been packed into the sensor allow for extra large prints at around A2 size. This also gives you the option of trimming your photos for artistic reasons. If you wish to save space on your memory card you can also opt to shoot at lower resolutions while retaining enough resolution to still be able to make good sized prints.
The IT100 has a 5x optical zoom lens. It is a wide angle lens. This lets you pack more of a wide scene into a photo. Therefore this type of digital camera will work well for you if you are interested in landscape photography or if you plan to take photos of groups of people. Image stabilisation has been built in to help keep any minor camera shake at bay, ensuring your photos remain as sharp as possible.
As is becoming increasingly common you can shoot High Definition movies with the IT100. There is a macro mode that allows you to move within 5cm of your subject for close up shots.
