The Samsung EX1 is an advanced digital camera. It has a wide range of features including manual exposure controls and manual focus. One of the big attractions of the EX1 is likely to be its large f/1.8 aperture. It is rare to find this on a compact digital camera. The advantage it offers is that it is able to let plenty of light into the camera. This is a great help when shooting photos in low light situations.

Main features include 10 megapixels and a 5x zoom lens. The lens has a focal length of 24 – 72mm. This gives you extreme wide angle capabilities, helping you to squeeze extra wide scenes into your shots.

One feature I really like is the 3 inch LCD screen. I found the screen to be of superior quality. It also pulls away from the body. You can then twist it round to a comfortable shooting position.

Other advanced features include a RAW capture mode, manual focusing and bracketing. Image stabilisation is also available to help reduce any blur caused by shaky hands.

Samsung have also incorporated a larger than standard sensor into the EX1. This works together with the large aperture to ensure noise is kept to a minimum.
