The Samsung NV24HD is a snapshot digital camera that also offers a number of more advanced features. The first feature to note is the fact the NV24HD is capable of producing High Definition movies. So you can shoot a movie and play it back on a HD television.
Other key features include a wide angle lens. This is useful for shooting wide scenes such as landscapes, groups of people and interiors. The minimum focal length of the lens is equivalent to 24mm in 35mm format. This means it is one of the widest angle lenses you will find on a compact digital camera.
More standard features include image stabilisation, a 2.5 inch LCD screen and face detection technology. Features that are not quite so common include a smile shutter (automatically takes a shot if the NV24HD detects someone is smiling), blink detection (stops a picture from being taken while anyone has their eyes closed) and red eye fix (the camera attempts to automatically remove red eye or you can try to remove it after the photo has been taken).
