The Samsung i8 follows on from the previous Samsung i7 and offers a number of different features that are not always associated with a digital camera. To start with the i8 can be used as a Portable Media Player. When you use the Portable Media Player you can playback movies on the LCD screen. The next feature is a MP3 player. The i8 has a built in High Definition, Surround Sound Mode for playing back music files. The text viewer feature lets you read Internet novels and some ebooks.
