Pentax X70

The Pentax X70 is an advanced digital camera. Its headline feature is a 24x zoom lens. The lens has a minimum focal of length of 26mm giving it wide angle capabilities. When you are shooting at low resolutions the amount of zoom can be increased dramatically to 150x magnification. As you would expect on a camera with this length of lens Pentax has built image stabilisation into the camera. This works by moving the sensor to compensate for any movements of the camera.

The X70 is a 12 megapixel camera. It offers a wide range of manual exposure controls. These include fully manual exposure, plus aperture priority and shutter priority.

For anyone who likes to shoot movie clips with their digital camera you will be pleased to hear that the X70 includes a High Definition movie mode.

Images can be composed on the 2.7 inch LCD screen or through the electronic viewfinder. For close up work the camera is able to focus from 1cm away from the subject.
