The Pentax Optio W80 is a rugged and tough digital camera. It is waterproof to a depth of 5m, capable of working in cold conditions in temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees centigrade, dustproof and shockproof to drops of up to 1m. The combination of a wide angle lens, high definition movies and the ability to shoot underwater gives the camera a great deal of flexibility.
The Optio W80 also has scope for close up work. If you place the camera in macro mode it should be able to focus from 1cm away from the subject.
