Pentax Optio S12

The Pentax Optio S12 is just 21mm wide. This means it should fit into a pocket without much of a problem. It comes in four colours: black, light blue, pink and silver.

The Optio S12 has plenty of scope for large prints with its 12 megapixel sensor. It has a 3x optical zoom lens. For composing shots there is a 2.5 inch screen.

Looking through the list of features it is in line with what you would expect from a simple, point and shoot camera. It offers face recognition technology.

According to Pentax the Optio S12 is able to focus on up to 15 faces at any one time. So that should make it a good choice for group photos.

For close up work there is a super macro mode that can focus from 6cm away from the subject. Power is supplied by a rechargeable lithium ion battery. Pentax supplies both a battery and charger as standard with the Optio S12.
