Overview
The Pentax K-m is an entry level Digital SLR. It has 10 megapixels. This is a lightweight model weighing 525g without a lens, battery or memory card. It is aimed at enthusiastic amateur photographers who are looking for the first step up from a more advanced compact digital camera.
It has a number of the latest features to be introduced to entry level Digital SLRs such as built in image stabilisation and dust removal. As well as manual exposure modes (manual, aperture priority and shutter priority) it also has a number of features you may recognise from a compact digital camera such as scene modes and automatic shooting. 16 segment Through The Lens metering is available with options for multi point, centre weighted and spot.
You can opt to buy the camera body or Pentax also offer a couple of kit options. These include a wide angle lens or both a wide angle and telephoto lenses.
