The Panasonic Lumix DMC ZX3 differs slightly from other Panasonic digital cameras through its design. It has a slimline body with a rounded grip over to the right hand side on the front of the camera. This can make the Lumix DMC ZX3 that bit easier to hold steady when taking a photo.
In terms of features this camera runs along similar lines to quite a number of digital cameras introduced by Panasonic at the start of 2010. Key features include 14 megapixels, an 8x zoom lens and image stabilisation. The lens has wide angle capabilities and the amount of zoom can be extended when shooting at lower resolutions. For example at 3 megapixels or under you have access to 16.9x zoom. This greatly adds to the flexibility of the camera and increases the number of photo opportunities it can take advantage of.
Other features include the ability to shoot High Definition movies. Movies have a maximum resolution of 720p. Standard resolution movies are available too. For composing photos, reviewing images and accessing the menu system there is a 2.7 inch LCD screen.
Panasonic has produced four different coloured versions. You can choose between black, silver, blue and red.
