The Panasonic DMC TZ4 has a long 10x optical zoom lens. The lens has wide angle capabilities as well as the more obvious ability to zoom in from distance. Compared to many other digital cameras with a longer zoom lens the DMC TZ4 is small and lightweight.
To support the long lens Panasonic have included image stabilisation. This can help compensate for any minor camera shake caused by unsteady hands and can lead to sharper images.
The DMC TZ4 has a 2.5 inch LCD screen and a number of features that give you extra options when compared to more basic digital cameras. These include the ability to take pictures that are ideal for display on a computer screen, viewing on a widescreen television or making 6 x 4 inch prints.
In addition there is a feature called extra zoom. This allows you to increase the amount of zoom available when shooting at lower resolutions.
