The Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ30 is seen as an ideal digital camera if you are travelling or taking a holiday. This is because of the wide range of features that have been packed into a relatively small body size.
Key features include a 20x zoom lens, image stabilisation and a 3 inch LCD screen. For close up shots the Lumix DMC TZ30 is able to focus from 3cm away from your subject.
Panasonic digital cameras have a feature called extra zoom. For the Lumix DMC TZ30 this allows you to increase the zoom to a maximum of 42x if you decrease the number of megapixels you are using to 3. There are steps in between where you can increase the zoom available by less without scarifying so many pixels.
The Lumix DMC TZ30 is able to record High Definition movies. Stereo sound can be recorded to accompany them. There is a GPS tracker that can be used to identify where you were when a photo was taken.
More advanced features include a set of manual exposure controls (Fully Manual, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority). There are also two custom settings you can set up to store your most used camera settings. Bracketing is available too for when it is difficult to work out the ideal exposure settings. For high speed shooting there is a burst mode that can capture up to 10 frames per second.
