The Panasonic DMC LS85 is the cheapest digital camera in the Panasonic range. It is aimed at anyone who is looking for a fairly inexpensive digital camera from one of the main brands. Although it does not have all the bells and whistles you may associate with a more expensive model it is still capable of taking a decent snapshot, especially in favourable conditions such as in bright daylight.

The DMC LS85 is on the large side when it comes to slipping into a pocket, but it is still relatively compact and lightweight. You can pick up small camera cases that can clip to a belt to make this camera easy to carry around. This will also offer the camera some protection as well.

It has become common for digital cameras to run on rechargeable lithium ion batteries. Therefore the DMC LS85 is one of the few digital cameras available that run on standard AA batteries. You may see this as an advantage as this type of battery is readily available in most parts of the world, but you will need to keep an eye on running costs.
