Panasonic DMC GF5

The Panasonic Lumix DMC GF5 is a compact system camera. It has 12 megapixels and some of its functions are controlled through a touch sensitive LCD screen. One of the advantages it has over other Compact System Cameras is its small size and light weight. For example at 267g it weighs well over 100g less than the Panasonic Lumix G5.

As you might expect with this type of camera the Lumix DMC GF5 has a range of more advanced features. These include a set of manual exposure controls (Fully Manual, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority). The maximum shutter speed for the camera is 60 seconds.

If you are looking to carry out some post production enhancements to your photos you can take advantage of the ability to store photos in RAW format. To give your photos a different look there are four different aspect ratios available. These are 4:3, 16:9, 3:2, 1:1. The 1:1 ratio is not widely available on digital cameras and gives you the chance of producing square photos.

The LCD screen is 3 inches in size and is made up of 920,000 dots. This should ensure good quality and clear viewing.

You can shoot Full High Definition Movies. Stereo sound can be recorded with your movie clips. AVCHD and MP4 formats are available for storing video clips.
