Overview
The Panasonic Lumix DMC G10 is described by Panasonic as a micro system camera. It has a relatively small body size, but can accept interchangeable lenses in the same way a Digital SLR can. It also has a set of advanced features similar to those you would expect to find on a Digital SLR.
Key features include 12 megapixels, a 3 inch LCD screen and a viewfinder. The viewfinder has dioptre correction for adjusting the focus of the viewfinder to suit your eyesight. Viewfinder coverage gives you a 100% field of view and 0.52x magnification.
There are a full set of manual exposure controls (fully automatic, shutter priority and aperture priority). These give you extra creative control over the way your photos will look.
If you are looking for simpler operation there is also an automatic shooting mode where all you have to do is point the Lumix DMC G10 at your subject and press the shutter button. There are also a range of preset scene modes you can use.
The Lumix DMC G10 is capable of shooting High Definition movies. You can capture still images in RAW mode. There is also a burst mode you can take advantage of. This reels off shots at a rate of 3.2 frames per second.
