Panasonic DMC FX60

The Panasonic Lumix DMC FX60 is a 12 megapixel pocket camera. It has an extreme wide angle lens (equivalent to 25 – 125mm in 35mm format). As with other Panasonic digital cameras as you reduce the resolution you are shooting at more zoom becomes progressively available. With the Lumix DMC FX60 you have access to 9.8x zoom when shooting at 3 megapixels.

Panasonic has redeveloped the lens used with the Lumix DMC FX60. It is notoriously difficult to achieve pin sharp images with wide angle lenses in such small digital cameras. Image stabilisation has been built in, in an effort to cut down on picture blur caused by unsteady hands. A 2.7 inch LCD screen is used for composing photos. Up to 10 seconds of commentary can be added to a photo after it has been taken.

For anyone who likes to fire off the occasional movie clip with their digital camera, Panasonic has incorporated High Definition quality movies. The maximum movie resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels.

The Lumix DMC FX60 is available in four different shades. These are black, silver, light blue and a colour that is similar to red wine. This camera is small enough to tuck away quite easily into more or less any sized pocket.
