Panasonic DMC FX550

The Panasonic DMC FX550 is the most advanced smaller compact camera available from Panasonic. The specification includes the ability to shoot High Definition movie clips, fully manual exposure controls and a 3 inch LCD screen. The screen is touch sensitive and some of the cameras controls can be accessed by touching the screen. The manual controls give you the ability to set the aperture size and shutter speed.

With these extra controls the DMC FX550 is most likely to appeal to someone who is looking for a step up from the more basic models. This camera is also suited to people who already own a digital SLR and are looking for a more portable second camera.

The DMC FX550 has 12 megapixels and a 5x optical zoom lens. The lens has wide angle capabilities with a focal length equivalent to 25 – 125mm in 35mm format.

Panasonic also claim that advances in technology have made this camera much more energy efficient than its predecessors.
