The Panasonic Lumix DMC FT4 is a powerful, robust digital camera. Features include it being waterproof to depths of 12m, shockproof to drops of up to 2m, dustproof and freezeproof to temperatures down to – 10 degrees centigrade.
The fact that the Lumix DMC FT4 can cope with the odd bump and bruise and with more extreme conditions makes this type of digital camera suitable for people who are travelling. To further increase the attraction to holiday makers Panasonic have equipped the Lumix DMC FT4 with GPS tracking, a compass, barometer and altimeter.
Other features of note include the ability to capture full 1920 x 1080 pixel, High Definition movies. A further option available is that you can shoot time lapse movies. A time lapse movies is a series of still images that are combined together to play back as a movie. Examples of where this can be used include plotting clouds moving a cross the sky or a flower slowly opening.
More standard features include image stabilisation, a 2.7 inch LCD screen and a macro mode that can focus from 5cm away from your subject.
