The Panasonic DMC FS5 is a simple pocket camera. It is available in black, red and silver. In terms of price this is one of the cheaper cameras for slipping into a pocket.
In terms of features it has 10 megapixels and a 4x optical zoom lens. The amount of zoom available can be increased to a maximum of 7.1x when shooting at low resolutions. Despite the fact the DMC FS5 has a lower price tag it does have features that you would normally expect to see on a more expensive digital camera. These include a macro mode that allows you to get in as close as 5cm and image stabilisation. The movie mode is also able to capture footage that can be played back on a widescreen television set.
For still photos you have options to select the shape of the shot you take. These can be the ideal shape for display on a computer screen, widescreen television or for making 6 x 4 inch prints.
