The Panasonic Lumix DMC FS45 is a simple, no fuss digital camera. It is small enough to slip comfortably into just about any pocket. It is also one of the cheapest models in the Panasonic range. It has 16 megapixels and a 5x zoom lens.
Although Panasonic have opted for simplicity over features the Lumix DMC FS45 has one or two features that make this camera a step up on the most basic models. To start with the LCD screen is 3 inches in size as opposed to smaller 2.7 inch screens that are more common in this price bracket. The Lumix DMC FS45 is also capable of shooting High Definition movies. Image stabilisation is another feature that is not always available with cheaper digital cameras.
On a more technical level the Lumix DMC FS45 has a f/2.5 aperture. This size of aperture is larger than typically found on digital cameras that could be described as direct competitors. The advantage of this to you is that it should help you when you are taking pictures in fading light.
