Panasonic DMC FS15

The Panasonic DMC FS15 is a step up from the more basic pocket models in the Panasonic range. One of the differences is that this camera has a wide angle lens. This is helpful if you are planning to shoot landscape type photos or to photograph groups of people. This angle of the lens will help you to squeeze these wider scenes into the picture.

One of the downsides of a wide angle lens is it can cut down the ability of the camera to zoom in on more distant subjects. To compensate for this Panasonic have built extra zoom into the lens of the DMC FS15 and it offers 5x zoom.

Another enhancement to this camera over more basic models is a larger 2.7 inch LCD screen. This can help you when you are composing or reviewing your photos. There is no viewfinder.

Other more standard features include face detection technology and image stabilisation. These are available throughout the Panasonic range of digital cameras.
