Panasonic DMC FP8

Panasonic DMC FP8

The Panasonic Lumix DMC FP8 has been given a new design by Panasonic. The body is flat, the lens is integral and it has been moved to the top right hand corner of the camera. This camera is a shade over 20mm wide, so you should have little problem slipping it into a purse or smaller pocket. It has an aluminium casing and is available in black, red and silver versions.

Standard specification details include a 12 megapixel sensor and a 4.6x wide angle lens. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 28 – 128mm in 35mm format. As with most other Panasonic digital cameras more zoom becomes available if you are prepared to reduce the number of megapixels you are shooting at. This means that at 3 megapixels you are able to boost the amount of zoom available up to 9.1x. This gives the Lumix DMC FP8 some useful extra flexibility.

Other features include an enhanced method of image stabilisation and the ability to shoot High Definition movies at a maximum speed of 30 frames per second. Looking through the list of other features I can see the Lumix DMC FP8 is a fairly standard point and shoot digital camera.
