The Panasonic Lumix DMC FP3 is a little different to most digital cameras as it is operated through a combination of touch control as well as having some more standard buttons for accessing features and settings. The LCD screen is 3 inches in size.
The Lumix DMC FP3 is a 14 megapixel digital camera. This gives you additional options. These include the ability to opt to decrease the number of megapixels you are shooting at in return for increasing the amount of zoom available. At low resolutions the maximum zoom available is 8.4x. Image stabilisation is available too.
Another feature worth a mention is the High Definition movie mode. This can capture footage at a resolution of 720p. Although the Lumix DMC FP3 may not be seen as a replacement for a fully featured camcorder it is a handy feature to have at your disposal.
Panasonic use a different design template for this camera and other models in this section of their range. The lens unit is tucked away in the top left hand corner of the camera. It is integral to the camera and does not extend out when the lens is zoomed out. Panasonic have made versions available in purple, grey, red, blue and black.
