The Olympus VR-330 has two main attractions. The first is it has the ability to take 3D still photos. The second is its 12.5x optical zoom lens. At the moment options for viewing your 3D still photos are limited unless you have a 3D television , but you may well see a range of 3D digital photo frames appearing this year. Further printing options are also likely to appear in the not too distant future.

Extra zoom is always useful to have. It adds extra flexibility to your camera. The VR-330 is also capable of capturing wide angle shots when you zoom the lens all the way out.

The body size of the VR-330 is impressively small at a little over 28mm wide. You should be able to slip it into a larger pocket, although this is not really an ultra compact digital camera. It is available in four colours; black, silver, red and blue.

Other features include 14 megapixels and the ability to record High Definition movies. The LCD screen is 3 inches in size. If you have any interest in close up photography the VR-330 is able to focus from 1cm away from your subject in super macro mode.
