The Olympus TG-820 is one of the most robust digital cameras you will find. It can withstand depths of 10m, is shockproof to falls of 2m and can work in temperatures as low as -10 degrees centigrade. In addition it is also crushproof to weights of 100kg.
More standard features include 12 megapixels and a 5x wide angle lens. Olympus have built image stabilisation into the TG-820. This should help to keep your pictures looking sharp. There is a 3D still photo mode and you can record Full 1080p High Definition movies. For composing photos there is a 3 inch LCD screen.
To bring out more detail in scenes where there is a high level of contrast there is a High Dynamic Range feature. The in camera panorama function helps you to create ultra wide panoramic shots.
The TG-820 has a metal body and the battery can be charged by connecting the camera to a USB port. Olympus have added a feature called tap control. When you turn on tap control you are able to change some settings by tapping the camera instead of using the menu system.
