The Olympus T-100 is aimed at people who are looking for a budget digital camera from a recognised brand name. This camera is available at a price that is a clear step down on other cameras in the Olympus range.
As you might expect the T-100 is light on features and has a basic specification. The upside of this is that as well as keeping the price down it helps to make the T-100 one of the most straightforward digital cameras you are likely to find.
Key features are 12 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom lens. There is a 2.36 inch LCD screen for composing photos and accessing the menu system. Although the 12 megapixels are in line with many other digital cameras the amount of zoom available and the size of the LCD screen show some of the compromises that have been included by Olympus to keep the price of the T-100 down.
It does offer a feature that allows you to charge the battery by attaching the T-100 to a computer via a USB port. It is also capable of shooting standard definition movies. Olympus has produced models in four different colours: black, blue, silver and red.
