The Olympus SP-810UZ has a 36x zoom lens. Compared with other super zoom cameras the SP-810UZ has fewer advanced features and is aimed at someone looking for a digital camera that is not overly complicated, but enables you to zoom in on very distant subjects. Alongside other digital cameras with this length of lens the SP-810UZ is also a little more compact.

Image stabilisation has been built in by Olympus. This feature takes on more importance with the longer lens this camera has, especially when you are zooming in. This should help to ensure any blur in your photos is kept to a minimum caused. The lens also has wide angle capabilities. This gives you the flexibility to photograph wide scenes as well as the more obvious ability to photograph distant subjects.

There is a 3 inch LCD screen for composing pictures, but Olympus have not included a viewfinder with the SP-810UZ. Close up photography is catered for by a macro mode that is capable of focusing from 5cm away from your subject. You can also shoot 3D still images for playback on 3D televisions.

The SP-810UZ is compatible with Eye-Fi memory cards. This type of card allows you to transfer photos wirelessly to a Wi-Fi ready computer.

Olympus have also equipped the SP-810UZ with the ability to shoot High Definition movies.

The SP-810UZ is available in black and silver.
