The Olympus SP-565 UZ is a super zoom digital camera. The 20x optical zoom lens offers both wide angle and exceptional telephoto qualities. This flexibility makes the SP-565 UZ a good choice for almost any type of photography including sports, wildlife, landscape and portrait photography. Image stabilisation has been built into the lens to help produce sharper photos.
The SP-565 UZ has 10 megapixels. This is plenty for large prints up to poster size.
As is the norm for this type of camera it offers manual exposure controls including both aperture priority and shutter priority. These help to give you extra control over the way your photos will look.
As well as the 2.5 inch LCD screen Olympus has added an electronic viewfinder to the SP-565 UZ. In super macro mode the camera can focus from just 1cm away from your subject.
In terms of design the camera looks like a small, compact Digital SLR. The built in flash unit pops up on top of the camera. By moving the flash unit away from the lens the possibility of red eye appearing in photos is reduced when compared to a standard, smaller compact digital camera.
