The Olympus SH-21 is marketed as a camera that is well suited to travelling. It has a relatively compact size with plenty of megapixels (16) and a generous 12.5x zoom lens. There are a fair range of features available include Full 1080p High Definition movies.
As well as giving you the power to zoom in on more distant subject the lens also has wide angle capabilities when you zoom out. This gives you the opportunity to squeeze wider scenes into your photos. Image stabilisation has been built into the SH-21. This helps to keep your photos looking sharp and comes into its own when light begins to fade.
Other features include a High Dynamic Range function to increase the level of detail showing in your photos when there is lots of contrast in the scene. You can charge the battery via a USB connection and the SH-21 is compatible with Eye-Fi memory cards. These memory cards let you download your images wirelessly.
