Olympus OM-D E-M5

The Olympus OM-D E-M5 is a compact system camera. This means it has a similar set of features to a Digital SLR, but is smaller in size. This is one of the more expensive Compact System Cameras and is aimed at the photography enthusiast.

Key features include 16 megapixels and a set of manual exposure controls. The body of the OM-D E-M5 is made out of magnesium alloy. Olympus have made the camera splashproof as well as dustproof.

It is capable of shooting Full High Definition Movies at a resolution of 1080p. In still shooting mode it has a burst feature that can reel off up to 9 frames per second.

The screen in 3 inches in size and can be tilted away from bright sunlight. The screen uses OLED technology. This should give you a better viewing experience than the more standard LCD technology screens.

Other features include the ability to save images in RAW mode. For long exposures there is a bulb setting.

In terms of design Olympus have given the OM-D E-M5 a retro look. It is available in black or in two tone silver.
