The Olympus MJU Tough 6020 can be used in a variety of harsh conditions. Olympus has included a set of seals and aluminium plating to keep moisture out and allow the camera to operate in water and in extreme cold temperatures. The MJU Tough 6020 is waterproof to depths of 5m and shockproof for drops of up to 1.5m. It is freezeproof to -10 degrees centigrade.

There are plenty of megapixels with 14 being built into the sensor. There is a 5x zoom lens. The lens has wide angle capabilities with a focal length equivalent to 28 – 140mm in 35mm format. Image stabilisation has been built in to help protect against picture blur. Other headline features include the ability to shoot High Definition movies. The battery can be charged by attaching the MJU Tough 6020 to a computer USB port.

Another upgrade over previous models in this series is the inclusion of a large amount of internal storage. You can store up to 1.6gb of photos and movie clips without the need for a memory card. When you wish to increase the amount of storage available to you the MJU Tough 6020 is compatible with SD memory cards. With the extra memory available Olympus has built software into the camera that allows you to tag and group photos by face, place or event. This makes retrieving photos at a later date much easier.

Some features and settings can be accessed by tapping or titling the camera. This can help to make the camera much easier to operate when wearing gloves in cold or wet conditions.
