The Olympus MJU Tough 6000 is able to handle most weather conditions. It is also suitable for use around the swimming pool or on winter holidays. It is certainly more robust than a more standard digital camera. The MJU Tough 6000 is waterproof to 3m, shockproof to 1.5m and freezeproof to -10 degrees. Add in its compact size that makes it able to fit into most pockets and you have a very versatile digital camera that can be used by more or less the entire family.

Olympus have put some thought into the design and come up with a camera that looks good. When buying you have a choice of four colours: white, yellow, orange and blue.

More standard features include 10 megapixels and a 3.6x optical zoom lens. One feature I can only recall seeing on other Olympus digital cameras is tap control. This allows you to change some key settings just by tapping the camera.

Images can be stored on either xD picture cards or on micro SD cards.
