The Olympus MJU 7000 is a 12 megapixel digital camera with a 7x optical zoom lens. That gives you extra zoom power over most digital cameras of this shape and size. Other attractive features include a 3 inch LCD screen and image stabilisation.

The MJU 7000 does have a high speed shooting mode, but you need to reduce the resolution you are shooting at to 3m to make the most of it. At this lower resolution a top speed of 11 frames per second is achievable.

Olympus has recently started to roll out and intelligent auto mode with its digital cameras. If you use this mode the camera attempts to work out if you are shooting one of the five most common scenes. It will then adjust focusing and exposure to help you take the optimum picture.
