The Olympus MJU 1050 SW is different to other digital cameras. You can drop it, use it underwater and also use it in freezing conditions. It is shockproof to a height of 1.5m, waterproof to a depth of 3m and freezeproof to -10 degrees.

This makes the MJU 1050 SW a good choice if you are looking for a digital you can use on the beach or if your children are budding photographers, but might just drop your precious camera from time to time.

Standard features include 10 megapixels and a 3x optical zoom lens. The MJU 1050 SW has a slightly larger than standard LCD screen at 2.7 inches in size.

As with many modern digital cameras you can choose the colour to suit you. Olympus has created different versions of the 1050 SW in silver, black, pink and blue.

The camera has all the normal features you would expect to find on a point and shoot digital camera. These include a movie mode with sound and the ability to take close up photos using the macro mode. Image stabilisation is also available.
