The Olympus FE-4030 is a simple point and shoot digital camera. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery. For added convenience you can opt to charge the battery by connecting the FE-4030 to a computer using a USB cable.
Looking at the balance between ease of use and features the FE-4030 comes down heavily in favour of ease of use. In fact there are few features of note and this is one of the most straightforward digital cameras you are likely to find. It is more or less completely automatic and there is an in camera guide ready to help you out if you get stuck with anything along the way.
The camera has more megapixels than you can shake a stick at with 14 crammed onto the sensor. There is a 4x zoom lens. The lens has wide angle capabilities and this is likely to prove attractive if you enjoy photographing wide scenes such as landscapes, interiors or groups of people.
I like the finish on this camera. Olympus has gone for something they call a double layered, crystal shell. That means the FE-4030 has a nice, shiny look to it!
