The Olympus FE-350 is a simple, starter digital camera. One advantage it offers over other digital cameras with a similar specification is the fact it has a wide angle lens. This will be useful to you if you are planning to take photos of wide scenes such as landscapes, interiors or groups of people.
Another attraction of the FE-350 is that it is very easy to use. I also found the menu system very easy to read with larger text than you find with the majority of digital cameras.
Two other features offer a bit more than I am used to seeing in this price bracket. The first is a larger LCD screen. It is 3 inches in size. Next is a macro mode that can focus from 5cm away from the subject. Both of these are a bonus on a more basic digital camera. It also has a metal body instead of the more typical plastic ones found within this price range.
