The Olympus FE-310 is an 8 megapixel digital camera with a 5x optical zoom lens. For a camera in this price range that extra length of zoom is a real bonus.

There are two more big attractions of the FE-310. The first is the price – this is one of the cheapest digital cameras available from a known brand. The second is the simplicity of the camera. It is one of the most straightforward digital cameras you are likely to find. Part of the reason for this is the camera does have a fairly limited set of features. Another upside of this is that you will not be paying for features and controls you will never use.

Another convenience factor is that the FE-310 runs on power supplied by AA batteries. These are available more or less everywhere. The only downside is that this type of camera can be battery hungry and if you are planning to make good use of your camera then it is likely to be worthwhile investing in a set of rechargeable batteries.
