The Nikon Coolpix S9100 has a number of features that are likely to be attractive to you if you are planning to take a holiday or if you are looking for a digital camera to take on your travels.

Its big attraction is the combination of a relatively small body size and an extra long lens. At 18x zoom you should be able to zoom in on a variety of more distant subjects. As the lens also has wide angle capabilities for squeezing in wider scenes you have a lot of scope and flexibility for such a small digital camera. Image stabilisation or vibration reduction as Nikon calls it has been built in to the Coolpix S9100. This helps minimise any loss of quality in your photos caused by any tiny movements of the camera while you are taking a picture.

Nikon have equipped the Coolpix S9100 with a High Definition movie mode. The resolution of 1080p is superior to that offered by the majority of digital cameras and is often referred to as Full HD. This should make your movie clips appear that bit smoother.

Other features include the ability to fire off up to 5 frames per second. The LCD screen is 3 inches in size. This is another area where Nikon have increased the resolution with the screen having a higher number of pixels than most digital cameras. This should give you a clear, sharper looking LCD screen.
