The Nikon Coolpix S610c is a 10 megapixel digital camera with a wide angle, 4x optical zoom lens. In terms of specifications it is more or less identical to the Nikon Coolpix S610, but with one significant difference. The Coolpix S610c has WiFi capabilities, allowing you to upload to a computer without the need for you to connect the camera and computer with any cables. To take advantage of this technology your computer must have the ability to receive images sent by WiFi.

Aside from the WiFi technology the Coolpix S610c is a fairly standard point and shoot digital camera. It is small enough to fit into a pocket. For composing photos it has a large 3 inch LCD screen. There is no viewfinder. The body of the camera is made from aluminium and it is available in black.

The wide angle lens is useful if you are interested in photographing landscapes, groups of people, buildings or interiors.
The Coolpix S610c has other features that make this camera a possible choice for families. These include an Active Child mode. This is designed to help you take snaps of younger children when they are on the move. There is also a smile shutter mode. When you select this mode the Coolpix S610c will fire off a shot when it detects somebody is smiling. There is no need for you to press the shutter button.
