The Nikon Coolpix S560 is a small compact camera. It will fit into a pocket, has a body made of aluminium and is available in black, silver and pink.
With 10 megapixels you should have no problem making large prints of your photographs. The 5x lens will help you to get in that bit closer than the more typical 3x lens you find on many small, compact digital cameras.
Nikon have built image stabilisation into the lens of the Coolpix S560. There is also a feature called best shot selector. This takes 10 photos at once, selects what the camera considers to be the best shot and then discards the remainder. This can also help you to produce crisp looking photos.
Although primarily a straightforward, point and shoot camera the Coolpix S560 has a couple of extra useful features. These are D lighting, where an under exposed photo can be brightened up and automatic red eye removal. This takes place immediately after a picture has been taken. The Coolpix S560 scans a photo for red eye and if it detects any it attempts to remove it before saving the photo.
