The Nikon Coolpix S220 is a very small, lightweight digital camera. Without the battery or memory card it weights just 100g making it one of the most lightweight digital cameras around.

It is a simple point and shoot model and scores highly for ease of use. In terms of price it is also in the lower price group for pocket size cameras.
The main features include a 10 megapixel sensor and a 3x optical zoom lens. For composing photos, reviewing shots you have already taking and accessing the menu there is a 2.5 inch LCD screen. Nikon has built image stabilisation into the Coolpix S220. To help you take the best possible photos Nikon has included features such as 16 scene modes, a Best Shot Selector, a Quick Retouch feature and a feature called Blink Proof. When Blink Proof is activated two photos are taken in quick succession. The idea is that if someone blinks in the first shot they will have their eyes open in the second.
