The big attraction of the Nikon Coolpix P100 is its 26x optical zoom lens. Looking at the specification it offers a major upgrade on previous digital cameras in this part of the Nikon digital cameras range. The changes bring the Coolpix P100 into line with rival models from Canon and Sony.
These changes include the ability to fire off a series of photos at a rate of 10 frames per second, plus the ability to shoot High Definition movies. If you decrease the resolution you are shooting at you can increase the speed at which scenes are captured to 120 frames per second.
